Allen’s B-Day
Allen’s B-Day
Tomica visit
Friday, October 1, 2010
After we did the present thing, we headed out to
Tokyo. The Tomica Shop has this booth that makes
a car of your choice. We were under the
impression that it only happens on the first of the
month. After looking at the sign in the shop, this
is not the case. They hadn’t put out the new car
pieces that were supposed to be on display on the
1st, but that’s alright. This is a better car anyway.
As you can see from the picture on the right, they
were out of some parts.
Once all that was done we went to McDonalds, because they wanted a happy set. The funny thing is, they only had Maru chan toys. They boys weren’t pleased by that, lol. We returned to the store and they play for quite a while. Here are a few pictures from that visit.
Tomorrow is the party, so more to follow.
Edit:
Allen’s opening his present. It’s funny he was happy until he didn’t see some kind of action hero belt. He doesn’t even watch the show, but his classmates have or want it, so he’s got to have it.
The clerk is putting the car together from the parts that Allen/Joshua chose. Joshua copied Allen, so both cars are identical. I’m not sure if he did this because it’s Allen’s birthday.
The boys are inspecting the final product. They are making sure it is up to their highest standards. Allen rejected it and told the clerk to try again. No, I’m just kidding. They were amazed and didn’t say much. They had to hand them back while the clerk finalized the cars and did one last check.
The last check appears to be a vehicle dynamics check. You know, to make sure they roll like a normal car.
